Getting ready for Christmas

We had fun picking out our first tree as a family. Katie picked a good one. She also watched me put all of the lights on the tree.

Six Months

Katie turned six months old on November 30th. She had a great checkup at the doctor. She is still off the charts in height and weight. She loves to eat, is sitting up so well, loves to bounce and jump, and is in the beginning stages of trying to crawl.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our first thanksgiving with Katherine. We spent the day with Jason's family at his parent's house. We had a delicious meal and hung out the rest of the afternoon.
This is what Katie did most of the time. She LOVES to jump.

Such hard work

Katie wore herself out after playing with her toys. We thought this was so funny that she fell asleep after she was done playing like this. I guess Thanksgiving wore her out. When she woke up Katie and I went shopping. I have a great shopper, which is very exciting.

Look what Katie can do!

Katie started finding her feet about two weeks ago.
And loves to stick them in her mouth.
Loves to play basketball!
Watched Shrek the Third with mommy and daddy.
And is sitting up all on her own. She loves to sit and play with all her toys and of course everything goes straight to her mouth.

Catching up

Katie really loves her exersaucer and jumper. We are amazed when we see her standing up so well in them and bouncing around.
I just think this was a cute picture. She's our little lady.
Katie seemed to find her thumb a couple of months ago but now she has found her two fingers. It seems that she does not use her pacifier much anymore since she has found them. She has also really started to chew on things. We are thinking she may be teething or getting close.

Halloween!

Katie was a spider for Halloween. We had a lot of fun. We went to see some of our friends and family and then spent the rest of the night handing out candy. Isn't she the cutest spider ever?

Katie's 5 Months Old

Katherine's Baptism

Katherine's baptism was on October 21st. My parents came up for the weekend and Jason's parents and sister were there as well. Katie did so good. She only lost a shoe.

This was part of my baptism dress and Katie was able to wear it under hers.

Getting stronger and bigger!

Katie's starting to get the hang of it and really enjoying it. She reaches for the bottle anytime it is close to her and just this Saturday she sat on her own. It has only been for several seconds but she has been doing it since. Jason is gone for the week so it is just the girls at home. We are already waiting on him to come back home and for my parents to get here later this week.

Our trip to Tennessee

We thought it was pretty funny that Katie fell asleep hanging on to her car seat on the way home.
We took our first trip to Tennessee with Katherine this past weekend. She is a great traveler. We had so much fun getting to see cousin Caroline again and meeting baby Gracie for the first time. Caroline was so fun and is so great with babies. Gracie was two weeks old on Saturday. She is so little and sweet. It was great to get away and see my family and spend a few days with them. Can't wait to get together for Christmas.

Katie's Four Months Old!

Here is the usual month old picture with her giraffe that we took Sunday night. The giraffe keeps getting smaller and smaller. We went to the doctor today for her check up. We have a big girl on our hands. She weighs 16lbs. and 1.5oz, which is 90th percentile. She is 27 and a 1/2 inches long which is over 100. She is off the charts in height! The doctor said her height is normal for a 9 month old. Her head circumference is 16 and a 1/2 inches. She's somewhere below 90th for that. Mommy is very excited about her height. We'll be pushing basketball in no time. It also explains why she's wearing nothing but 6-12 month clothes and why even some of those are too short. We think she is the most beautiful thing.
We think she looks so grown up in her cute, big girl clothes.
Katie took her morning nap on Saturday in our bed.

Grins and Giggles!!!

Katie truly laughed for the first time yesterday. It was so great. She was lying on our bed and I was over her making her bounce and making silly sounds and she kept laughing at me. It was the funniest thing. I couldn't get enough and neither could she.

Roll Over, Roll Over!

We had an eventful morning. Katie rolled over completely on her own for the first time. She really enjoys being on her stomach since she can hold herself up so well. Isn't she a cutie?

GO HOGS GO!!!

Katie dressed up for her first Razorback football game. We're working on calling those hogs.

Three Months Old!

Katie turned three months old today.
